Less work for your fresh water system
Application begins when you fill the tank: measure the required quantity, add membraclean to the fresh water tank and fill it with water. As you draw off water, the treated water passes through the pump, pipes, water heater and fittings.
This combines taking on water with caring for the internal surfaces that carry it. Instead of considering only the tank, you treat the components through which the water flows together. Regular use can become part of your travel routine.
Why tanks and pipework belong together
Microorganisms can enter the water system during filling, through connections and during use. Warmth, residual water and longer periods without use create conditions in which they can multiply and form biofilm.
membraclean tackles bacteria, viruses, fungi and spores in the treated water. Its spectrum of activity also includes Legionella and Pseudomonas. Existing biofilm is gradually broken down, while ongoing treatment counters recontamination.
Neutral in taste and silver-free
At the intended dose, the treated drinking water remains neutral in taste and odour. You can use it for drinking, making coffee and tea, cooking and personal hygiene. Dogs and cats travelling with you can also be supplied with it.
Our formulation contains neither silver, silver ions nor silver nitrate. The active substance is active chlorine released from hypochlorous acid. We manufacture the product in Germany from water and salt using an electrolytic process.
For the start of the season and regular travel
After winter storage, a longer period without use or the purchase of a second-hand vehicle, it is worth checking the entire fresh water system. Our instructions for use distinguish cleaning and restoration from subsequent ongoing operation.
During your trip, add the specified quantity at each refill. This also treats newly added water and maintains water hygiene beyond the start of the season.
For more than conventional motorhomes
membraclean Camping & Motorhomes is suitable for caravans, campervans, panel vans, touring and expedition vehicles, as well as mobile tanks in buses and lorries. Canisters, water bags and drinking water containers can also be treated.
Good material compatibility makes it easier to use in common drinking water systems. These include plastic tanks and tanks and components made of stainless steel. Maintenance of technical components, removal of coarse dirt and any necessary descaling are carried out as separate tasks.
The right quantity for your journey
The shop offers handy bottles, larger containers and value sets. Choose according to the volume of water you treat on your travels. With a set, you can open individual containers one at a time and store the remaining supply unopened.
For ongoing use at 2 ml per litre of drinking water, a 1 litre bottle treats up to 500 litres. Cleaning and restoration require a separate quantity of product. You will find the treatment capacity with each item.
