Clean water from the tank to the tap
Filling up with fresh water alone does not keep a water system clean. Pipes, pumps, water heaters and fittings also need attention. Microorganisms can settle on their internal surfaces in a biofilm and contaminate the water again.
Our drinking water treatment products disinfect and preserve the water, while gradually breaking down existing biofilm. Add membraclean when filling the tank or use a dosing system for continuous injection. This includes the entire water system along the flow path in the treatment.
We offer dedicated product ranges for camping and motorhomes, marine applications, animals, and trekking and survival. membraclean TD is our drinking water disinfectant for controlled dosing in buildings and water-carrying installations.
Disinfection suited to your task
For targeted disinfection of a tank or pipe system, choose our drinking water pipe and tank disinfectant. Our ready-to-use surface disinfectant is available for surfaces and objects that can be treated with moisture. With membraclean AIR, cold fogging also reaches difficult-to-access areas and removes troublesome odours.
The different product ranges make choosing easier. You buy the product for your application rather than having to use one product for every task.
Made in Germany from water and salt
We manufacture membraclean from drinking water and high-purity salt using an electrolytic process. This requires water, salt and electricity. Our drinking water treatment and disinfection products contain no alcohol, silver, silver nitrate, or added fragrances or preservatives.
The active substance is active chlorine released from hypochlorous acid. Hypochlorous acid also occurs in nature: white blood cells produce it as part of the body's immune defence. This nature-identical mode of action is the basis of our products and our guiding principle, 'Learning from nature'.
CO2 emissions (carbon footprint) amount to just 0.7% of those from the production of conventional disinfectants.
A broad spectrum of activity for your hygiene needs
membraclean acts against bacteria, viruses, fungi and spores. The stabilised formulation combines rapid disinfecting action with good material compatibility. Our activity table shows the pathogen groups covered and the differences compared with other disinfectant substances.
Our active substance covers product types PT 2, PT 3, PT 4 and PT 5. These include general disinfection, veterinary hygiene, food and feed areas, and drinking water treatment for people and animals. Each product is assigned to its intended area of use.
